News and updates
How do I create and manage posts?
Posts let you share updates about your fundraising activities, events and impact. They appear on your public fundraising homepage and help keep supporters engaged.
Regular updates can build trust, show progress and encourage more donations.
What a post includes
- A date
- A title
- A short summary shown on your fundraising homepage
- A longer full story shown when someone opens the post
- Optional images
Creating a new post
- Go to your dashboard and open Posts.
- Click New post.
- Add the date for your post.
- Enter a short title.
- Add a short summary for supporters to read on your fundraising homepage.
- Add the full story with more detail.
- Click Create post.
Before adding images
You must create the text content for your post first.
- Add and save the date, title, short summary and full story first.
- Once the post has been created, you can open the Images tab and start uploading images.
- You can add multiple images to a post.
Writing effective posts
- Keep your title short and clear.
- Use the short summary to help supporters quickly scan what the update is about.
- Use the full story to explain what happened, who benefited and what supporters helped make possible.
- Share real outcomes, milestones or community moments where possible.
Editing and publishing posts
- Open the post you want to update from your Posts list.
- Use Edit content to update the text.
- Save your changes.
- When the post is ready, click Publish.
Managing existing posts
- The posts list shows each post’s title, date and status.
- You can return to a post at any time to edit, publish, discard changes or delete it.
Uploading images to a post
- Open an existing post and select the Images tab.
- Click Upload new image.
- Click Choose file and select a JPEG image from your device.
- Add a caption if needed. This is optional.
- Click Upload image.
Image requirements
- Images must be in JPEG format.
- Files must be no larger than 10 MB.
- Use clear, high-quality images that represent your organisation and activities.
- Real photos work best, but make sure you have permission to use them. If people can be identified in the image, you should have their consent before uploading.
Things to keep in mind
- Posts are a good way to show progress and keep your fundraising page active.
- Short, regular updates often work better than long gaps between posts.
- Try to connect each update back to the difference supporters are making.
