How do I set up online payments?
Use Online payments to connect your organisation’s bank account through Stripe. This allows your organisation to securely collect donations using Fundraisy.
Stripe handles all payments and transfers funds directly to your bank account.
Before you start
- Only the owner of the organisation can set up online payments.
- You will be redirected to Stripe to complete the setup.
- You will need your organisation and bank account details ready.
Choosing the right Stripe account type
- If your organisation is a registered charity, select the option to set up a Stripe account as a charity.
- If your organisation is not registered with the Charity Commission, you should usually set up Stripe as an individual.
If you're unsure which option to choose, please contact our support team before continuing.
First time setup
- Go to your dashboard and open Online payments.
- Start the setup process to connect your account with Stripe.

Follow the Stripe steps to:
- Choose your account type
- Enter your details
- Add your bank account
- Complete the setup and you will return to Fundraisy.
How online payments work
- Stripe securely collects and stores your bank account details.
- Fundraisy does not have access to your bank account information.
- All donations are processed securely by Stripe.
What happens after setup
- Your Online payments page will show your connection status.
- Your organisation can start receiving donations.
- Payments will be transferred to your bank account by Stripe.
Managing your bank account
- Open Online payments from your dashboard.
- To change your bank account, go to your Stripe dashboard.
- To unlink your bank account, contact Fundraisy support.
Things to keep in mind
- Online payments must be set up before your organisation can receive donations.
- Stripe may take a few days to transfer funds to your bank account.
- Only the organisation owner can manage payment setup.
