How do I enable Gift Aid?
Gift Aid allows eligible UK charities to claim an extra 25% on donations at no additional cost to the donor.
You can enable Gift Aid for your organisation from your dashboard.
How Gift Aid works
- Donors are asked if their donation is eligible for Gift Aid.
- If eligible, your organisation can claim an additional 25% from HMRC.
- Gift Aid is only available to qualifying UK charities.
Before you enable Gift Aid
- Your organisation must be a registered UK charity.
- You must be able to claim Gift Aid from HMRC.
If your organisation is not a registered charity, you should leave Gift Aid turned off.
Enabling Gift Aid
- Go to your dashboard and open Gift Aid.
- Turn on Enable Gift Aid for this organisation.
- Click Save.
What happens after you enable it
- Donors will be asked if their donation is eligible for Gift Aid.
- You will be able to claim Gift Aid on eligible donations through HMRC.
Changing your Gift Aid status
- Open Gift Aid from your dashboard.
- Turn the setting on or off as needed.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Things to keep in mind
- Gift Aid must be claimed directly with HMRC by your organisation.
- Fundraisy does not submit Gift Aid claims on your behalf.
- Only eligible donations can be claimed under Gift Aid rules.
