How do I create and manage ticketed events?
Ticketed events let you sell tickets for fundraising activities such as performances or community events.
You can customise your event details, pricing and ticket types, then publish it for supporters to book and attend.
Creating a new ticketed event
- Go to your dashboard and open Ticketed events.
- Click Create event.
- Enter the event name.
- Set the URL code (this forms part of your event link).
- Add a description and any additional information.
- Click Create draft event to begin setup.
How ticketed events are set up
Ticketed events are created in steps. You can move between sections using the menu on the left.
- Basic details
- Image
- Venue
- Map
- Times and dates
- Pricing mode
- Ticket categories
- Terms and conditions
- Preview and publish
Basic details
The first step is to set up the core information for your event.
- Enter the name of your event. This is what supporters will see.
- Set the URL code. This creates your event link and should be short and easy to read.
- Add a description explaining what the event is and why people should attend.
- Add any additional information if needed (optional).
- Click Create draft event to save and continue.
Adding an event image
- Open the Image step.
- Choose whether your event will include an image.
- Click Choose file and select your image.
- Click Upload.
Image tips
- Use a clear, high-quality image that represents your event.
- Images should be in JPEG format.
Setting the venue
- Open the Venue step.
- Enter the event address.
- Save your venue details.
- Continue to the Map step if needed.
Adding dates and times
- Open Times and dates.
- Click Add new time/date.
- Enter when the event takes place and how many tickets are available.
- Add multiple sessions if your event runs more than once.
Choosing a pricing mode
Select how you want to charge for tickets:
- Free – tickets are free of charge
- Standard – you set fixed ticket prices
- Donation only – supporters choose how much to pay
- Minimum price and donation – set a minimum plus optional extra donation
Creating ticket categories
- Open Ticket categories.
- Add a name for the ticket (for example, Adult or Child).
- Add any eligibility details if needed.
- Click Add ticket category.
Adding terms and conditions
- Open Terms and conditions.
- Choose whether to include terms.
- Add your text and click Save.
Previewing and publishing
- Go to Preview and publish.
- Review your event details.
- Publish your event when ready.
Managing your event
- Your events list shows each event’s name and status.
- You can return to a draft event at any time to continue editing.
- Published events can still be updated if needed.
Things to keep in mind
- Make sure your event details are clear before publishing.
- Double-check dates, times and ticket availability.
- Use simple ticket categories to avoid confusion for supporters.
