How do I create and manage a sponsored event?
Sponsored events are a great way to bring your community together and raise money around a clear challenge or activity.
You can use Fundraisy to create your event page, explain what supporters are sponsoring and add images to help promote it.

What a sponsored event includes
- A date for when the event takes place
- A title for the event
- A short summary shown on your fundraising homepage
- A longer body text explaining the event in more detail
- A custom button text such as “Sponsor now”
- Optional images
Creating a new sponsored event
- Go to your dashboard and open Sponsored events.
- Click New sponsored event.
- Enter the date of the event.
- Add a short, clear title.
- Write a short summary for supporters to see on your fundraising homepage.
- Add the body text with more detail about the event, who is taking part and what the money will support.
- Choose the button text shown on the call to action button.
- Click Create sponsored event.
Customising the button text
You can customise the button text to match your event and make the call to action clearer.
- Use short, direct wording such as Sponsor now
- You can also tailor it to the event, for example Sponsor a reader or Support this challenge
A clear button helps supporters understand what action to take.
Writing a strong event page
- Explain what the event is and when it is happening
- Say who is taking part
- Tell supporters what the fundraising will help achieve
- Keep the summary short and easy to scan
- Use the full description to make the event feel real, specific and motivating
Before adding images
You need to create and save the event text first.
- Add and save the date, title, short summary, body text and button text first.
- Once the sponsored event has been created, you can open the Images tab and upload images.
Uploading images to a sponsored event
- Open an existing sponsored event and select the Images tab.
- Click Upload new image.
- Click Choose file and select a JPEG image from your device.
- Add a caption if needed. This is optional.
- Click Upload image.
Image requirements
- Images must be in JPEG format.
- Files must be no larger than 10 MB.
- Use clear, high-quality images that represent your organisation and activities.
- Real photos work best, but make sure you have permission to use them. If people can be identified in the image, you should have their consent before uploading.
Managing existing sponsored events
- The sponsored events list shows each event’s name, date and state.
- You can return to an event at any time to edit the content or images.
- You can also delete an event if it is no longer needed.
