Contacts

How do I manage supporters and contacts?

The supporters page shows people who have explictly agreed to be contacted by your organisation.

You can use this list to stay in touch, share updates and encourage ongoing support for your fundraising.

What you can see

  • Each supporter’s name, email address and the date they gave consent.
  • A list of contacts who have agreed to hear from your organisation.

Using your supporters list

  1. Select one or more supporters using the checkboxes.
  2. Click Copy selected to clipboard to copy email addresses.
  3. Paste them into your email to send updates or messages (remember to BCC if sending to more than one address).

How this can help your fundraising

  • Share updates about new events or campaigns.
  • Let supporters know when you are close to reaching your fundraising goal.
  • Send follow-up messages after events to say thank you and keep people engaged.
  • Encourage repeat support by keeping your community informed.

Supporters who have already donated or engaged are often the most likely to support you again. Keeping in touch can make a big difference.

Data protection and responsibilities

  • Your organisation owns and is responsible for this data.
  • You must only contact supporters who have given consent.
  • You should handle personal data securely and responsibly.
  • You must follow applicable data protection laws when using this information.

For guidance, visit the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Managing your contacts

  • You can remove selected contacts if they should no longer be included.
  • Always respect requests from individuals who no longer wish to be contacted.
