Privacy Policy and GDPR

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

Last updated: 10 February 2026

Who we are

Fundraisy is operated by Tylney Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our contact email is support@fundraisy.co.uk.

Fundraisy is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), reference ZB659322.

How this policy works

We collect and use personal information in two main ways:

  • Information from organisations and account holders who sign up to use Fundraisy.
  • Information from donors who make a donation through the platform.

Your rights and how we use your information depend on which of these applies to you.

Information from organisations (account holders)

When you create an account or manage an organisation on Fundraisy, we collect information such as:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Organisation name
  • Account activity and usage information
  • Messages or correspondence sent to us

We use this information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide our services
  • Send important service updates
  • Respond to support queries
  • Improve Fundraisy
  • Send occasional updates or offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)

For organisation account data, Fundraisy acts as the data controller.

Information from donors

When someone makes a donation through Fundraisy, we collect the information needed to process the payment. This may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)

We use this information to:

  • Process the donation
  • Provide confirmation and receipts
  • Prevent fraud or misuse of the platform

Sharing donor contact details

When making a donation, donors are clearly asked whether they would like to share their contact details with the organisation they are supporting.

We only share a donor’s name and email address if the donor gives explicit consent.

If a donor chooses not to share their details, their donation will be treated as anonymous.

Where contact details are shared, the organisation becomes the data controller for that information and is responsible for using it lawfully and in line with data protection law.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment information and processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on:

  • Contract – to provide our services to account holders.
  • Consent – where donors choose to share contact details or subscribe to updates.
  • Legitimate interests – to operate, secure and improve Fundraisy.
  • Legal obligations – where we are required to retain or disclose information.

How long we keep information

  • Organisation account data is kept while the account is active.
  • Inactive accounts may be deleted after 12 months of no activity.
  • Donation records may be retained where required for legal or financial reporting purposes.
  • Website usage data is typically retained for up to 30 days.

How we store information

Fundraisy is built on secure infrastructure. Data is stored within the UK or EU using trusted hosting providers.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request transfer of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise your rights, email support@fundraisy.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
